Class Capture

Capture:
  • Channels and observations of different forms of communication
  • Face-to-Face Communication
  • Audible, Phone Conversation, word of mouth
  • Text Form, Email, Text Messages

Relevance:

  1. We use many different channels to communicate in different circumstances.
  2. Face-to-Face can also be Audible if the conversation is overheard by someone else
  3. Text Messages and emails can be completely confidential. Text form cannot be "overheard" but it can be "intercepted"

Apply: Mason Ball - Roomate

  • Mason can text message me during class to ask me what the combo number for the lock on my closet is if he wants to get in to eat my cheez-its. I can send him the number without ever having to leave my place, or distract from the lesson taking place in class.

Teach: Mason Ball - Roomate - Dorm Room - 11:15

Report:

I told Mason about the many different channels we have available to us to communicate, including cell phones, emails, audible conversations and even morse code. He promptly informed me that he already knew that, and that he wasnt born yesterday.
